InteDelta is seeking a managing consultant to help us expand our risk management business.

About InteDelta
InteDelta is a small consultancy, specialising in risk management. We were founded in 2004 by two banking risk professionals. Our areas of expertise cover the major types of risk faced by institutions: credit, market and operational, as well as a number of more niche specialisms such as collateral management. We are also planning to expand into additional areas such as IT integration and development.

Our clients include financial institutions and service providers from some of the world’s largest investment banks, to medium sized banks in developing markets, and hedge funds. Our work is very international with a significant proportion of our income coming from outside of the UK.

The role
The managing consultant role is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurially minded individual to help shape our consulting business.
The role has several components:

  • Engagement management – the consultant will manage the full life cycle of an engagement from agreement of contracts, ensuring appropriate resources are deployed, managing costs and meeting client expectations
  • Client delivery – the consultant will provide consulting services to our clients in his/her field of expertise
  • Business development – the consultant will be expected to on-sell engagements and initiate and progress new sales from InteDelta’s existing sales relationships. The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate a network of existing contacts to whom they can market InteDelta’s services

The candidate
The successful candidate should display the following knowledge and experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of one or more of InteDelta’s core disciplines or an area in which we wish to grow
  • Personal responsibility for ultimate delivery of large consulting engagements, IT implementations, or large internal projects within a financial institution
  • Experience of a fee-generating role with experience of both on-selling engagements and developing new business

The candidate should want to work in a small and entrepreneurial business where they will be accountable for their own P&L and where their compensation will be directly related to that P&L, with no limit to their upside potential.

InteDelta engages experienced independent consultants as associates on specific engagements where we need to supplement our resources with niche skills and are continuously looking to expand our pool of high quality associates to be considered for these projects.

If you are accepted into our pool, we will maintain an ongoing dialogue with you even when you are not working on an InteDelta engagement. To be considered for our pool you need to have extensive experience in at least one of our areas of expertise.
