Risk Policy Development and Review

Policies are an important element in enshrining the strategy of a business and in ensuring it is properly controlled. Nowhere is this more important than in risk management.

We can draft or review policies in any risk management discipline as well as for many business areas.

The types of policy we most frequently encounter are:

  • Strategic risk and governance policy
  • Credit policy
  • Market risk policy
  • Collateral management policy
  • Operational risk policy
  • ICAAP
  • Risk measurement policy
  • Commercial policies for specific business units
  • Country risk policy

Whilst we often draft policies for clients, we are also frequently asked to review policies that clients have themselves drafted. This enables us to assess the policy from the perspective of best market practice. This is often coupled with a more formalised peer group market intelligence study in which we benchmark the client’s policy against its peers.

Our policy development and review service is integrated into the InteDelta Delivery Lifecycle and may form one phase of a wider programme of change we are managing for the client. This may, for example, include development of the models and systems to support the implementation of a new policy.  Alternatively, we may be engaged to undertake policy development or review as a discrete piece of work.
